Since the 1930’s, our families have been dedicated to and worked in Chicago’s meat industry.
In 1972, three hardworking champions of the meat industry, Albert R. La Valle, his son Albert Joseph and Frank A. DiJohn, brought their shared passions for quality and flavor together to form Farmington Foods. Their combined knowledge, skills and established reputations shaped the company’s commitment to exceptional quality and unparalleled customer service.
Working summers throughout grade school, high school and college, Frank’s son Tony and Albert Joseph’s son Albert Anthony (Al) developed a shared appreciation for the culture, work ethic, and passion at the heart of Farmington Foods. After college and work experiences apart from Farmington, and with their own insights into a rapidly-advancing industry, Tony and Al assumed leadership roles with the company, partnering to guide Farmington Foods into a new era of success.
Today, with gratitude and respect for its heritage, Farmington Foods remains family-owned and operated, serving both national and international customers. President Tony DiJohn and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer Al La Valle have spent nearly thirty years working together, bringing their families’ shared commitment to innovation and quality to meat lovers the world over.
